Long Time Friends
Spent a weekend back in my hometown and met up with friends Cynthia, Kim and Bill. We all met back in our high school years. Cynthia and Bill were a year ahead of me and Kim was a year behind me. We were part of a larger group of friends in our church youth group that were so close. I think during the summers we probably spent just about every day and/or evening together playing cards, watching movies, riding wave runners on the lake (thanks to Cari's family) and playing the ultimate hide-n-seek games at our church. Oh, and remember that camping trip at Brad's and the water tower? And I could go on...We shared songs, tears, hurts, dreams, lots of laughter and lots of memories. Those were some good times. It's neat to have such a history together thinking back. Even though we don't get to see each other much, isn't it great to have friends that when you do get together and talk it's like not a day has gone by.

The Past Couple of Days
Just some things to remember.
Lacey has really been adding so many new words to her vocabulary this week. When I leave the room she will follow me around the house saying "mommy, air R ou"? Or she will hide behind a door or the towel hanging in the bathroom saying "Lacey, air R ou" and then she will answer herself "ear I um". She also will give me the biggest smile and tilt her little head with a shoulder shrug. So cute!
This week Kyle has really taken an interest in several sports. Upon finding out that I was having a boy, I was so excited and always pictured myself as that mom in the bleachers cheering her son on playing sports. Even tonight after supper he ran and got his soccer ball and he and Doug kicked it back and forth across the living room. He has a good straight kick. He also got his baseball bat and Nerf ball. I would pitch the ball to him and he socked that ball several times. He was so cute. He would tap the bat on the floor and say, "mommy this is what your suppose to do". He would get in position and put the bat up and swirl it in the air. I asked him where he learned to do that and told me on Clifford the Big Red Dog. OK. He couldn't leave out a game of basketball. He pulled his little basket ball goal out of his room and shot some hoops.
We discovered he is a left foot kicker (We are thinking he can still play football and be a field goal kicker. That way he is not as likely to get hurt and will still make the money. Ha!) and left hand batter and thrower although he colors and eats with his right hand.
