The Past Couple of Days
Lacey has really been adding so many new words to her vocabulary this week. When I leave the room she will follow me around the house saying "mommy, air R ou"? Or she will hide behind a door or the towel hanging in the bathroom saying "Lacey, air R ou" and then she will answer herself "ear I um". She also will give me the biggest smile and tilt her little head with a shoulder shrug. So cute!
This week Kyle has really taken an interest in several sports. Upon finding out that I was having a boy, I was so excited and always pictured myself as that mom in the bleachers cheering her son on playing sports. Even tonight after supper he ran and got his soccer ball and he and Doug kicked it back and forth across the living room. He has a good straight kick. He also got his baseball bat and Nerf ball. I would pitch the ball to him and he socked that ball several times. He was so cute. He would tap the bat on the floor and say, "mommy this is what your suppose to do". He would get in position and put the bat up and swirl it in the air. I asked him where he learned to do that and told me on Clifford the Big Red Dog. OK. He couldn't leave out a game of basketball. He pulled his little basket ball goal out of his room and shot some hoops.
We discovered he is a left foot kicker (We are thinking he can still play football and be a field goal kicker. That way he is not as likely to get hurt and will still make the money. Ha!) and left hand batter and thrower although he colors and eats with his right hand.

Can We Get Candy On This Day?

Lacey caught on real quick! She rode around in the stroller hanging on proudly to the candy/Easter basket. She would decide to get out and go to certain doors to get candy. She was so sweet. When she would walk up to the door she would take a piece of candy out of her basket and try to give it to the person giving out the candy. Very sweet. She didn't say a lot on our way around the block but you could tell she was very excited and lovin it! Kyle of course was very excited as he is about everything. It was so cute watching him. I had to keep adjusting his poor suspender straps that kept falling off and his sweet little excited voice saying "I love candy. I love to go trick or treating and get more candy. Can we go to that house and get MORE candy? I want to ring the door bell." I'm afraid this may be my last year to pick out and dress Kyle in the cutesier costumes. He kept telling me that he wanted to be Batman.

Just Mommy & Lacey
On one of the days that Kyle is in preschool I take Lacey to toddler activities. This is her music class. I think she was probably the oldest one in her class this semester. We love Ms. Holly's enthusiasm when she teaches. Lacey is intently listening to her reading a book below. It is parachute time above and Lacey is very serious. I could not get her to crack a smile. She is having fun. She always races to the middle of the circle and sits down.
