"Mommy, I Love Lacey"

Kyle is so affectionate. He is always giving hugs and kisses. He will ask me to sit down beside him and he quickly climbs in my lap. Often when I am holding Lacey he will say "Mommy it's my turn now". I cherish these moments. He tells me throughout the day "Mommy, I love you". He is so sweet. Kyle, I have always made it a point to tell you how much I love you throughout the day since you were born. I want you to hear those words.
Lacey, you too. I constantly tell you how much I love you.
Tonight on my way home from running an errand (yes all by myself), I thanked God for my sweet, precious kids. I thank God for your health and sweet presence in my life. It is an absolute joy to be your mommy and I don't want to take even a split second for granted. You both are such a blessing to me and your daddy. Thank you Lord for my little family.

OK, now when I am out with these two. People often approach me to comment on/or compliment the kids. Most often people ask if they are brother and sister?????....YES... Then they go on to say how different they look from each other. I don't know. I disagree. Yes, they have different colored hair and eyes but I look at these pics and I see so many similarities. What do you think?

More Paint Please

Look at the concentration!

Kyle you painted this masterpiece about 3 weeks ago. You were so excited to paint. You told me you were painting a fire truck and you also said you were "practicing making circles". Those are some great circles! You were so excited to show daddy when he got home from work. Mommy has it on a special spot on the frig.

Precious Girl

I am so far behind in my posts. These pictures were actually taken about a month ago. Lacey you are so so precious. This last picture is pretty funny. Daddy was taking your dress off to put your pj's on and he got your dress stuck on your head and this is how it looked! He was showing Kyle and I. Kyle did a double take when he saw you and we all had a good laugh. It was pretty funny!
Lacey, I took you to the doctor this week because I thought you might have an ear infection but no you didn't. The doctor said it is just a cold. Your weight at 7 1\2 months is 16.2 pounds.

Mommy and Lacey

This picture is a few weeks old but I thought it was a good picture of us. We got all dressed up to go to a baby shower for a friend of mine. We got to spend some girl time together. We had fun! Alisha, this picture is really for you. This is an outfit my best friend Alisha gave to Lacey and it is one of my favorites!

My Little Trooper

Kyle you got your stitches taken out today. You were so brave. We talked about what to expect at the doctor's office all day today. Dr. F put on his funny glasses and you sat on daddy's lap while the doctor cut the stitches and pulled them out. You sat perfectly still and answered all his questions. When he was all done you asked for your new band aid. You were so grown up and did a super job! I'm so glad your all better now. Your weight at 28 1/2 months is 31 pounds. Love you sweetie.

In Stitches

Kyle got to take a trip to the hospital Friday evening. Here's the story... I had been feeling horrible for a couple of days and was feeling so bad that Doug came home from work a little early on Friday to help with the kids. I had just retreated to the bedroom to lay down for a few minutes while Doug was fixing some spagetti for dinner. I was in there I think a whole ten minutes when I heard a thump and a screaming cry. I waited before getting up....and heard Doug coming down the hall saying "Tara, I'm going to need your help." My stomach dropped. Doug said Kyle was running around the room playing and fell hitting the brick fireplace. We think he probably tripped over Buddy our dog. It actually didn't bleed a whole lot. I later inspected the fireplace and found blood where he hit. He hit it right on a bottom brick corner. I knew it was going to need something done. I was thinking maybe just some butterfly bandaids or glue. I called our pediatricians office and while waiting on a call back, Kyle inhaled his plate of spagetti! (he loves to eat!) The doctors office said with it being split open and a horizontal laceration that he did need to go to the hospital. So.. not knowing how long we would be at the hospital we decided it was probably best that a sick mommy and a tired Lacey stay home. [I wanted to be there for you so bad, Kyle. I couldn't hardly stand it that I wasn't, but your daddy did a great job comforting you and talking you through each step.]

When Kyle and Daddy got to the hospital, wouldn't you know it they had a tractor and a pretend tool set for Kyle to play. Doug said that just made it all better.

The doctor said Kyle needed stitches. They cleaned and put a topical cream on to numb it first and had to wait 45 minutes. Then they took his shirt off and wrapped him in a towel with arms to hold his arms down. Gave him a shot and he got three stitches. Daddy sang Row, Row, Row Your Boat and talked him through it. Afterwards they came home and Kyle got to eat a big bowl full of ice cream. You are so cute, Kyle. I gave you the biggest hug when you came home. You were very excited and were talking ninety to nothing. You told me everything you saw and did. Telling me again how you got hurt and fell down on the fireplace and that the bandaid makes it all better. You kept saying you couldn't find the tractors. We finally figured out what you were talking about. Apparantly, daddy drove past some construction on the way to the hospital and that is where you saw the tractors you were refering to but he drove a different way home and therefore you didn't see and couldn't find the tractors. You are so observant.

You told me all about the stickers you got on your pants and your bandaid on your forehead.
